Ann Henderson Obituary

Ann Marie (Rapp) Henderson passed away peacefully on May 2nd at her daughter, Laura's, home where she was being cared for and well loved by the entire family. Family was of utmost importance to Ann, second only to Jesus, her first love.

Born March 5,1941 in Marion, Ohio to Harlan and Bessie Rapp, she was 85 years old. She was an identical twin to Nan Ella (deceased 2007) and had eight other siblings: preceded in death; Catherine, Robert, Wayne, and survived by; Mary, Ralph, Linda, David and John.

She was married to Richard Ernest Henderson in 1963, having celebrated their 62nd anniversary  last October and have three children. Daughter Laura (Mark) Mahoney and children;  Darien (Matt) Hemmerlein and their five daughters, Connor Mahoney and Briana (Matthew) Zeppieri. Daughter Jennifer (Brian) Johnston and children; Cooper Johnston, Riley (Lucas) Stebbins and two children, Hawkin (Anika) Johnston, KeNan Johnston. And son Rick (Niki) Henderson and children; Carrissa (Daniel) Rossi and two children,  Ailsa Henderson, Jaida Henderson, Ayin Henderson, Tymon Henderson, Skylar Henderson, Ayriana Henderson.

Learning new things and especially embracing technology was of special interest to Ann. She received an AA from Bliss college and took classes at Otterbein college when her kids were grown. She did secretarial work, most notably at Berlin Church "bringing the computer age into the church." She continued her fascination with all things tech; computers, phones, iPads, cameras and her love of learning through recipes, books, butterflies and family research.

Ann was well loved by friends and especially remembered for her willingness to go out and about and share laughter with everyone she met. Her smile was infectious. She was also thoughtful, helping out when there was a need, taking food and visiting. Even while at work she would put things aside to listen and within the neighborhood caring for those in need as well as taking the time to talk and inquire of peoples lives.

There will be a memorial service on May 30th at Church on the Rock, Melbourne, Florida. Services will begin at 11am. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church on the Rock for their gracious use of the building.
