In Loving Memory of Antonia Deanne Scipio

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Antonia Deanne Scipio, who departed this life after a courageous battle with cancer.

Antonia was born in Trinidad, West Indies, raised in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and later made the mainland United States her home. As a child, she enjoyed reading, playing volleyball, music, and was a member of the Territorial Court of the Virgin Islands Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra.

Antonia spent her life dedicated to service, family, and caring for others. She built a career in Human Resources and public service, beginning her work with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) in Nashville, Tennessee.  She later served with the Richmond County School System in Augusta, Georgia; Chesapeake Public Schools in Chesapeake, Virginia; and finally as the Director of Employee Benefits and Risk Management for Brevard Public Schools in Florida. In each role, she was known for her professionalism, dedication, and commitment to supporting employees and school communities.

Throughout her career, Antonia worked quietly behind the scenes, helping organizations function smoothly and supporting the people who served within them. She valued service, integrity, and doing her work with care and consistency.

A lifelong learner, she pursued her education in Nashville, Tennessee, attending Nashville Tech, and continued her studies at institutions including Thomas Aquinas College, Lipscomb University, and Trevecca Nazarene University. She later earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA), reflecting her dedication to professional growth.

Above all, Antonia will be remembered for her strength, quiet grace, and resilience. She faced illness with courage and dignity, continuing to inspire those who loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family, including her son Trabian Jackson II, parents Michael and Jennifer Toussaint, siblings Monique and Michael Toussaint, sister-in-law Leda Toussaint, niece Mila Toussaint, aunts Julia Moss, Corine and Dixie-Ann Sinnette, Deanna Joseph, Gail, Judy, Ingrid, and Nancy Toussaint, uncles Russell Toussaint, Jeffrey, Jerome, and John Scipio as well as a host of extended family, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Her life was a testament to service, love, and quiet strength. May she rest in eternal peace.
