Bruce Wayne Strawser, 71, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on March 3rd, 2026, after a hard and courageous battle with cancer.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Edith Strawser; his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Krista Strawser; and his grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Strawser.
Bruce fought Acute B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia with incredible strength and determination. Even during the hardest moments, he kept pushing forward and doing everything he could for the chance at more time and a better tomorrow. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the people who loved him most—his wife and his son—who were there beside him, giving him comfort and love.
Bruce worked as a computer and network technician for L3Harris up until the time of his diagnosis. In the 1990s, he graduated from Keiser College, proudly becoming one of the first people in his family to attend college and earn a degree. Before that chapter of his life, Bruce worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker, and many people knew him as a true master craftsman. The pieces he created weren’t just useful—they were works of art. He spent countless hours in his workshop building things not only for shows, but also for friends and family who needed something special for their homes.
Bruce had many hobbies and passions throughout his life. One of his greatest joys was fishing. He loved being outdoors, surrounded by nature, and spent his life fishing in many different waters for many kinds of fish.
For many years, Bruce and Edith shared another passion—motorcycles. Together they took trips from Florida to visit family up north in New York and Tennessee. Those trips would sometimes last for weeks, traveling the country, seeing what America had to offer, and making memories and friendships along the way.
Bruce also had a gift for photography. He won contests at work, was hired to photograph weddings, and always seemed to have a camera nearby to capture the moments that mattered most in life.
But more than anything else, Bruce loved his wife, Edith. Their love and life together meant the world to him.
Bruce will be deeply missed by his family, by the many friends he made throughout his life, and by the people who had the privilege of working alongside him.
May he now be at peace, free from pain, and forever watching over all of us.
