Cheryl Marie Hoffman, 74, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at her home on Glenham Drive NE, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Cheryl—known affectionately by all simply as Cheryl—will forever be remembered for her giving spirit, her joyous presence, and her unwavering love of family.
Born on January 1, 1951, in Woodbury, New Jersey, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Vallie Aldridge and Ervin Borchmann. She grew up in New Jersey with her siblings, cultivating lifelong bonds and a strong sense of family that became the cornerstone of her life. Cheryl married the love of her life, Joseph Hoffman, on November 10, 1967. Their marriage spanned nearly six decades, filled with laughter, adventures, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a large, loving family that was always at the center of Cheryl’s heart.
Cheryl was a proud and hardworking woman who dedicated 15 years of her career as a press machine operator at Owen’s-Illinois. Known for her strong work ethic and positive attitude, she brought warmth and humor to the workplace, earning the respect and friendship of her coworkers.
Outside of work, Cheryl’s heart belonged to her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—celebrating holidays, birthdays, and any excuse for a gathering. Her home was always filled with laughter, music, and good food. Cheryl leaves behind her husband, Joseph Hoffman; daughters Michelle Hunt, Susan Parisano, and Julia Hoffman; sons Kenneth Hoffman and Gerald Hoffman; sisters Lorraine Day and Pam Gerstenlauer; 12 beloved grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Hoffman, her sister Donna Deklyen, and her parents.
Cheryl’s bright, bubbly personality was infectious. She loved to dance, fish, crab, and bowl—earning many trophies along the way. Her love for life was reflected in everything she did. Always ready to celebrate even the smallest moments, Cheryl had a special gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome.
In her quiet moments, Cheryl enjoyed doing puzzles and sticker books, cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers, and following her favorite television shows, especially her soap operas, Dancing with the Stars, and The Bachelorette. She was also an active member of the Good Shepherd of Melbourne, where her faith and community gave her strength and joy.
Though Cheryl’s passing leaves a tremendous void, her family takes comfort in knowing her loving spirit will continue to guide and inspire them. Her laughter, kindness, and devotion will never be forgotten.
Her family shares these words in her memory: *“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”* (Joshua 1:9)
Always remember: you are braver than you believe, stronger than you think, more beautiful than you imagine, and loved more than you know.
With all our love—Kenny, Jerry, Michelle, Susan, Julia, and your loving husband.
We will all miss our mother dearly.
