On Thursday, April 2, 2026, Dolores V. Moseley answered God’s call and transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home.
Dolores was born on April 12, 1946, in Trinidad & Tobago, to the late Cecil John and Belinda Ann-Margaret Borneo. She attended St. Joseph’s Convent for her secondary education and went on to pursue higher learning with dedication and passion. She earned an associate degree and later a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a Physical Therapy Assistant from New York University and Regents University, respectively. Continuing her commitment to growth and service, she also obtained a master’s degree in Community Health Education from Adelphi University. A lifelong learner, Dolores pursued numerous certifications and received several awards, reflecting her curiosity and determination to continually grow.
Dolores was known for her strong spirit, unwavering determination, and generous heart. As a trained Physical Therapist, she found great fulfillment in helping elderly patients regain mobility and independence. Even in retirement, her passion for nurturing life continued as she became a Master Gardener, joyfully helping others grow vibrant flowers, healthy plants, and nourishing vegetables. She was, proudly, a devoted “plant mom.”
Her creativity and talents extended far beyond her professional life. Dolores found joy in sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and reading. She also gave generously of her time, volunteering with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Greater Palm Bay Senior Center, always seeking ways to serve and uplift others.
Throughout her life, Dolores faced challenges with remarkable strength and resilience. From a young age, she demonstrated independence and perseverance. Above all, her greatest joy was her family.
Dolores was the beloved wife of Lennox Moseley, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage. She was a devoted and proud mother to four daughters: Tisha, Shelly, Danielle, and Dayna; and a loving stepmother to Shondell, Leandre, Jason, and Lendale. She was a cherished grandmother to 23 grandchildren—10 boys and 13 girls—and a treasured great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren—7 boys and 2 girls, and her special cousin Vicky Tribuse— whose lifelong friendship was a source of joy, laughter and unwavering support. She delighted in sharing stories about her grandchildren, each one held close to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil John and Belinda Ann-Margaret Borneo; her sister, Annette J. Alleyne; and her three brothers, Michael Brian Borneo, Linus Anslyn Borneo, and John Selwyn Borneo.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her loving husband, Lennox; her daughters, stepchildren, brothers, and sisters; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Dolores’s presence, strength, and love will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time and invite you to honor Dolores’s life by sharing your memories, stories, and even your favorite plants with one another.
Her life is a beautiful memory, her absence a quiet sorrow, but we find comfort in knowing she now rests peacefully in God’s eternal garden.
