Obituary
Mable Louise Patterson was born in Shellman, Georgia on January 16, 1943 to the late Clarence and Minnie Bell Patterson and passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024. She was married to the late Robert Lee Hearns whom she shared a time of love and light with.
Mable was a devoted servant of the Lord and a loving matriarch whose life was marked by her unwavering faith, boundless love for her family, and an unshakeable commitment to serving Christ.
A faithful and dedicated member of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church for 46 years; under the Pastoral leadership of Elder Edward Buckner, Elder Alvin J. Ford and current Pastor Elder Rodney T. Osborne. She served as an Usher and loved teaching Church School and attended North Central Association Conventions. Her love for Jesus Christ was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a woman of deep spiritual conviction, exemplifying strength and grace, and touched the lives of all who knew her.
Favorite Scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6 – "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” – was not just a verse she cherished, but a principle she lived by every day. She trusted God’s guidance through every joy and challenge, demonstrating a deep, abiding faith that inspired all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of this truth, as she leaned on the Lord’s wisdom and provision in all things, confident that He would always lead her where she needed to go and would always provide.
Mom was a nurturing soul, known for her love of children and her role in raising several of her grands and great-grandchildren. Her family was her heart, and she was a source of wisdom, kindness, and encouragement. Her home was a place of warmth and comfort.
She is preceded in death by Diane Hearns (daughter) and Carlington Hepburn (son). Lillie Bell Tellis (sister), Clarence Patterson, Jr. (brother) and Roy Chester Patterson (brother).
She leaves to cherish her memories her brothers, C. D. Patterson of CA, James Patterson Chattahoochee, FL and sisters, Minnie Lyons, Dorothy Nash and Mary Hinson all of Cocoa, FL; Lorene Hinson of Alabama; Carolene Hinson, Raycene Patterson and Martha Anderson all of Chattahoochee, FL.
