Sister Marjorie Brown was born on August 9, 1944, to the late Frank Lee and Perkie Lou Brown. Marjorie was the 9th of 10 children, and 8 siblings preceded her in death. James "Pete", Maye, Fannie, Doris, Frank, Emory "Ned", Pearl, and Billy. Marjorie attended the Warrenton Elementary School, she was a proud graduate of Stone High School, Class of 1963. She attended Brevard Community College, receiving a Certificate of Completion in Advanced Business Systems in 1986. She later matriculated to Philips Junior College, obtaining her Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration, Class of 1991. She was employed at Kennedy Space Center for BAMSI for over 40 years until she retired. In 1961, she met the love of her life, James Archie. They united in Holy Matrimony on December 27, 1967, and from this union, two wonderful boys were born: Bruce in 1968 and Tyrone in 1971. Marjorie loved her family and made sure that they never wanted for anything. She taught multiple life lessons; the most important was to "Keep God First!" Sister Marjorie joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in 1958 under the leadership of the late Rev. John W. Driskell. She was very active in the Mr. Zion Northeast Coast Missionary District. She was a devoted member of the church, serving faithfully on the Senior Usher Board, the Finance Ministry, and the Culinary Ministry, where she was affectionately known as "Queen Sugar". The writer of the song. "May the work  I've Done Speak for Me" must have known our beloved Sister Marjorie Brown Archie. On February 4, 2025, a golden heart stopped beating, and hardworking hands lay at rest, as Sister Marjorie was called from labor to reward. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband of 57 years, James Archie. Two Beloved Sons: Bruce Archie and Tyrone(Casey)Archie.
