Nyrva Chevry

Our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nyrva Chevry, 73, passed away on November 25, 2024, after her battle with Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s. Born in Port Au Prince, Haiti in July of 1951,  She moved to New York in 1967, married her best friend Jean Chevry, and had 2 beautiful children, Phedra and Colin. She graduated from the Fashion Institute (FIT) in New York City with a major in Pattern Making and Design, and she worked doing what she loved most in the garment district in Manhattan for many years. In 1989, she moved to Palm Bay, Florida where she raised her family, working for Sun Clean Dry Cleaners for more than 20 years as the go-to Alterationist in the area and creating beautiful creations at home for so many. She was fun-loving, brutally honest, kind, and would give the shirt off her back(or make you one) for anyone. She always had a wise word or a loving hug for anyone who needed one. And her famous line Where there’s a will there is a Way will always stick in our mind. She is truly missed by all who have known her. She leaves behind her husband, Jean, daughter Phedra, and son Colin. Grandchildren, Cassi, Alex, Emerson, Marlow, and Chaldees, and Great-grandchildren Silas James and Carmen Paige. 
Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 1 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1710 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL 32901 
A celebration of Life reception will follow in the hall.
