Rita M. Arrigo (nee Vecchiarelli) passed from this life peacefully at her home in Palm Bay, Florida,
on March 11, 2025, at age 91. The daughter of the late Ernesto and Maria Vecchiarelli, she is
survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Anthony (“Tony”), and her sons, Marc (Jennifer) and
Bruce (Kathy), grandchildren Christopher, Sarah, Rebecca and Anthony, and many nephews and
nieces, great-grandchildren, and grand and great nephews and nieces. She was born and reared in
Philadelphia, and later lived in Collingdale, Havertown, and Glen Mills, Pennsylvania. She was a
a homemaker and a business entrepreneur. At various times over the years she was a partner and
manager with her late sisters and brother, Adele Pirri (Carmelo), Ida Benedetto (Corrado) and Alfred
“Freddie” Vecchiarelli (Elaine) of the San Remo Apartments and the Catalina, El Reno and Tempo
Motels at the seashore in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. In retirement, she liked cooking and reading,
and was the editor-in-chief of the Windsor at Glen Mills condominium newsletter, The Silver
Thread. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon, Monday, March 17, 2025, at St. Joseph’s
Church, 5330 Babcock Street, NE, Palm Bay, FL, where relatives and friends may call for visitation
from 11:00 - 12:00. Internment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Miller Street and Pollak Avenue,
NE, Palm Bay, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Rita M. Arrigo to Health
First Hospice, 1131 West New Haven Avenue, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
