Sophia DePinto, 70 years old, of Melbourne Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on November 17, 2025, in Palm Bay, Florida.
Sophia was born in Poland on May 14, 1955, to her parents, Jozef and Aniela. Years after, her and her family migrated to the United States, where she spent the majority of her life in Bayonne, New Jersey. She graduated from Bayonne High School. She worked in the school system while her children were young, and finished out her working years as a head teller at the bank. She enjoyed all her years in New Jersey and spent summers at the Jersey Shore with her family. She loved the ocean and the beach, which prompted her to live her retired years by the ocean. In 2018, she moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida, living out her dream of being footsteps from the beach. She enjoyed long walks along the Atlantic coastline, collecting seashells and sea glass, spending time with her friends, and fell in love with sea turtles and all the beautiful things the ocean had to offer. She will be remembered by her outgoing personality, her love for the sun, sand, and the ocean, her electric aura, and her big heart.
Sophia is survived by her three children: Cassandra Gallino and her husband Chris, from New York; Cosmo DePinto and his wife Nicole, from New York; and Crystle Sisk and her fiancé Andrew, from New Jersey. She has three beautiful grandchildren: Christopher Joseph, Gianna Theresa, and Claudio Corato. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
