Steven Alan Klein, born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Bette and Jerry Klein on December 30, 1953, passed away July 30, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida.
Steve graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1971 and Cleveland State University in 1975 and went to work for Majestic Homes in the Cleveland area. He relocated from Cleveland to Melbourne, FL, in the early eighties to be the construction supervisor for the Lakes of Melbourne. He moved on to work for Certified Plumbing of Brevard, where he became the Head Estimator for and an Officer of the company until his retirement in 2025.
Steve loved the outdoors from early childhood into his adult life. His love of all things creepy crawly morphed into a love of fishing and nature. He was an accomplished and experienced fisherman, and his well-researched and planted yard was a haven for monarch butterflies, birds, local critters, and all things creepy crawly.
Steve was a dedicated friend and employee. He adored his mother, Blues music, crossword puzzles, hats, especially Stetons, gardening, precision, index, Subway sandwiches, solitude, WFIT radio station, and spending time with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents and his Stepfather, William Weiss. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Candice Klein Gordon, his brother-in-law, Phil Gordon, his colleagues at Certified Plumbing of Brevard, and his many friends, lifelong and newer.
A Celebration of Life will be held outdoors at Wickham Park on February 28, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to WFIT.org to keep the Music playing
